Who are Hard To Find? How long have you been trading and what do you do?
Hard To Find were established over twenty years ago and consistently delivers excellent service and great savings on DJ, Music Technology Equipment, Vinyl and CDs.
Our staff have a wealth of experience in DJ, music production, recording, software, guitars, PA systems, synths, keyboard's and much more.
We operate both on-line and from our 7000sq ft Birmingham City Centre based retail superstore where we keep thousands of products in stock.

Do you keep large stocks of vinyl and CD’s and can you source me a rare record?
Yes.On-line we have over one million vinyl and CDs in-stock, we also act as a record finding agency locating records for customers that are generally unavailable elsewhere. If locating the record for our customers takes one day or one decade, we will keep on searching free of charge through our huge list of worldwide suppliers and second hand record contacts.
We constantly purchase second hand record collections as this enables our customers the access to deleted and rare records that are no longer available. We’re specialists in all genres of dance music, this includes House, Garage, Techno, Electro, Disco, Hardcore, Drum'n'Bass, Soul & Hip-Hop.

I've heard that many of the world's top DJs sell records to you, is this true?
The professional dance music industry will usually use us as their first port of call when offloading large quantities of vinyl. We have a long client list of Pro DJ’s who both purchase off and sell to Hard To Find.

Are Hard To Find authorised dealers for all the products they sell?
Yes. Hard To Find is one of the UK's leading music stores. And we are authorised dealers for all of the products we sell. We purchase directly from official distributors, and unless stated otherwise all the products we sell are brand-new and in original packaging with manual included (if available).
We strongly advise that before you purchase equipment from another dealer you make sure that the outlet is an authorised dealer for the brand/product you are looking to buy. and that their offer is for a brand-new guaranteed unit.

What warranty does Hard To Find offer on the equipment they sell?
We purchase the products we sell as an authorised dealer, which means all of our customers receive the full warranty offered by the manufacturer.
Most of our branded products are supplied with a manufacture warranty of between 1 - 5 years. (the warranty period of an item is stated on the product info page for every product on our website)
In addition to the manufacturer’s guarantee, Hard To Find will support the products we sell for the first 12 months commencing from the date of purchase.
Buying from Hard To Find on-line does not restrict the length of guarantee you receive, warranty claims or the possibility of having equipment repaired.

What does Hard To Find do should the equipment I have purchased become faulty?
A range of warranty and guarantees covers the products you purchase from Hard To Find. We have a dedicated returns department to assist you should your equipment become faulty during its warranty period.

I have a question concerning my order?
Once your order has been successfully processed, we will send you a confirmation email. This email will contain full details of your order and will include your unique customer number and also your order number reference.
You’ll also be given all the required contact information for our telesales and after-sales support team.
All of our trained telesales team can assist you with any further enquires that you may have concerning your order, or will be able to transfer you to our after-sales support team should you need further help.
In any correspondence please ensure you have your unique customer ID number and order number to hand, so that we can gather your information and deal with your enquiry in quickest time possible.

I am being asked for a MR number, what is an MR number?
The MR Number is the unique number reference, that all of the products on our website and in our catalogue are listed with. This number is the code that our systems use to navigate to a product. Knowing the MR number of the items you wish to buy will greatly speed up your shopping experience with Hard To Find.

How secure is it to order on-line through your website?
HTFR.com has been designed from the ground up with security in mind. Every bit of sensitive information is transported securely over HTTPS (A secure SSL connection) and whenever we store your information (i.e. passwords) we store it on a secure server, fully encrypted.
As requested by UK Data Protection legislation, we follow strict security procedures when handling your data which means even the smallest of information will always be stored securely and never disclosed to 3rd parties.

I already know the product MR numbers, can I order more easily?
The MR Number is the unique number reference that all of the products on our website and in our catalogue are listed with. This number is the code that our systems use to navigate to a product.
Having the product MR number to hand will allow you to order both quicker and more efficiently. If shopping on our website simply input the relevant MR number into the search bar and hit return. This will display the product that relates to the MR number you have entered. Once your search result is displayed you simply add the item directly to your basket ready for checkout.
Having the MR Number to hand will also greatly improve your shopping experience when buying directly from The Hard To Find over the phone. As our telesales operatives will be able to quickly find the item you wish to buy.

Can I pay for my order on finance?
We offer online and in-store finance on orders between £280 and £12,000 subject to a 10% deposit. You may spread the cost over 12, 24 or 36 months at an APR of just 19.5%.
To apply, process your order through the basket system as normal, and simply select the pay via finance option on the payment screen. You will generally get an instant decision but on some occasions your application may be referred.
To apply for finance you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be over 18 years of age.
- You must be a UK resident with at least 3 years continual address history.
- You must be in full time employment, unless retired or have a spouse in full time employment.
- You must have a UK bank account capable of accepting Direct Debit payments.
- The goods must be delivered to the address given on your finance application form.
Additionally to apply for finance in-store you must also bring with you two proofs of ID, one of which must contain your photograph, ie, passport or driving licence.

I have found a cheaper price elsewhere. Can you beat it or match it?
At Hard To Find we continually analyse our prices to make sure that we’re competitive. However, we believe that price isn’t always everything.
We may occasionally be a little more expensive than the online "wheeler dealer", however at Hard To Find the service does not stop with the sale, and shopping with us allows you to shop with complete confidence.
If you wish to submit your price match request to Hard To Find, then we will be happy to hear from you. Please fill in the price match form found on each product info page and the Hard To Find team will be in touch within 24 hours to confirm if we can match the price that you have requested.

During Shipping is my order fully insured?
Yes, in the unlikely event that your order is lost or damaged during shipping, Hard To Find automatically insures every order for the full replacement cost of the item.

Are the products I order checked and packaged securely before being delivered?
The Hard To Find despatch team inspect every item before it leaves for delivery. They ensure that all items are sealed and packaged in strong boxes with additional packaging and fragile tape if required. All records and CDs are despatched in strong cardboard mailing envelopes with stiffeners if required.
