RARE AFROBEAT WITH REMIX CD
The first in a series of cds, this album draws on rare original Afrobeat with elements of funk, rock and jazz salvaged from dusty bars and back rooms in remote parts of Africa. The original material is primarily from Ghana and Nigeria and dates back as early as the 60s. With the input of world renowned djs, the remixed version covers music ranging from downtempo and blues to house, techno and broken beat, creating a fresh spin on Afrobeat.
