MUST HAVE LP FROM ALASKA & PARADOX
Vinyl lovers are treated to a triple pack of three transparent glass 12"shis latest album sees Paradox and Alaska join forces for the Isolationist lp, set for release in May 2009. As a bonus, the cd includes more from the infamous 'sample Me' series - specially edited breakbeat samples for aspiring producers to loop and splice - and shows Paradox's commitment to the grass roots of the scene, giving something back to the fans and those he's inspired. When he's not in the studio, Paradox is inevitably on tour and continues to entertain crowds with his live shows truly worldwide. Armed only with his trusty Amiga, synths and a mic, he performs a truly live pa, reconstructing tracks from his back catalogue and editing beats on the fly. He has personally orchestrated over 140 live shows covering usa, Europe, Asia and beyond and continues to venture into unchartered territory to represent his sound. The Isolationist lp The new album from Alaska & Paradox displays the breakbeat craftsmanship of Dev Pandya as he dwelve's into his very own style of Drum & Bass, Downtempo-dnb, and 1970's Funk. The militant stance that Paradox is famous for flows throughout the Isolationist lp. Never one to fold to the current trends, Alaska & Paradox have delivered an album of ambience, deep emotion and funky drums that flow but still contain that all-important swing and technical wizardry that Paradox is well known for. The Tracks: 'vigilante' is pure 70's car-chase Funk, a pivotal ingredient of Drum and Bass lacking in today's scene. The Cd version contains a longer mix for the beatfreaks. 'jerico' and 'odium' display Alaska & Paradox's B-boy Hiphop roots combined with intricate switches, depth and the rumbling bass needed for today's dancefloor. 'zion' and 'mauja' add the artist's cross-collaboration warmth to the Isolationist lp with searing strings, reverse piano loops and layers of personal emotion.'etherous' ignites Ambient jungle into the Isolationist project with vocals courtesy of Kiyomi Yamashita and 'heart Of Space' is thee perfect example of the minds of Alaska and Paradox meeting together for all to hear. 'abysm' touches below sea-level with it's heart-pulling Double Bass lead and riffs. Breakbeats that make shoes-shuffle reign throughout 'abysm' and 'kilaun Drift'. 'sample Me #15' is designed to keep the Drum and Bass scene alive and kicking. Funk awareness is paramount in the eyes of Alaska & Paradox in a bedroom-music scene that has exploded onto a worldwide stage. Vinyl lovers are treated to a triple pack of three transparent glass 12"s and a 10- track compact disc contains bonus Drum & Bass, Downtempo and Funk material plus Paradox's famed 'sample Me' Drum-loops for producers to sample making the album truly pro-active.
