The bitstream 3x is a comprehensive usb controller for music software. Whether you lean towards dj software, or production, this plug and play controller has tons of features to present a professional degree of hands-on control, and requires no installation. 35 knobs, 8 sliders, 16 buttons, a two axis joystick , a ribbon controller, a cross-fader are all neatly, and logically placed for instant and familiar operation. To add to the extent of 3x's usability, every one of those controls are available on 21 groups, so that 21 different midi events can be assigned on every single knob, fader or button. For example, you could have one scene for mixing and channel control, with a second scene for effects, and a third for sampler controls - whatever your dj set or production requires! 100 scenes memories allow the user to call back any saved configuration in real time, so if your performing live or deep in a recording session, you can re-call your best moments and ideas, time after time. Suitable for pretty much any music software and user, the bitstream 3x comes with an astounding 13,000 pre-sets including Reason, Ableton Live, Reaktor, Traktor, Absynth, Cakewalk and Cubase amongst other. Digital Dj's will love the midi Cross-fader. And the 8 track motion sampler allows automated recording of the movements of the knobs, joystick, crossfader and ribbon controller for creative effect. Mixing, fading and crossfading is just as natural as it is on a traditional dj mixer, and setting levels for recording or mixdowns is also amazingly intuitive. The versatile user modes equip any level of user with instant out-of-the-box set-up or a more detailed customised performance editing option, with the depth or simplicity to suit any ability. Amongst the advanced features included are an lfo for creative synth or filter use, and an advanced arpeggiator for instruments and effects. Multiple midi inputs and outputs offer plenty of room for expansion and integration of other midi equipment, and a sync-24 output leaves room for classic equipment too. The detailed lcd display constantly feeds back to the user. The bitstream 3x comes with Cme's renowned build quality, in an all metal chassis. It's been a long time coming, but this is quite possibly one of the most exciting, and capable, Midi controllers to date, designed with both the dj and the producer firmly in mind.
