The pmc 580 pro is no exception with its awesome effects processing, intuitively laid out and with the flexibility the modern dj needs. Each programme channel features 6 effects buttons. The significant layout of the buttons and knobs of the pmc-580pro enable djs to control these 6 different effects and different parameters all at once. In addition the mic has three independent effect controls and the master section which has a huge 11 independent effects. All in all a maximum of 6 different effects can be applied to the sound at the same time, powered by the pmc 580's 5 dsp's (digital signal processor) and 3 cpu's. All of these effects have two modes which add even more flexibility, momentary and alternate. Momentary is useful for when you want instant effects on short phrases. The effect will be applied to the sound only while the effect button is pushed. Alternate mode is for when you want to apply effects in to a long mix. The effect will be applied to the sound once the effect button is pushed, and will continue to be until the effect button is pushed again. The mixer also features beat key which will control the effects bpm along with the detected bpm of the playing track, selected from: 8, 4, 2, 1, 3/4, 2/3, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8. To fully complete the effects capabilities of this mixer large effect knobs are positioned for dynamic effect control. Whilst the effects are clearly an awesome feature of this mixer its impressive quality does not stop there. All the basics are available, such as smooth 60mm input faders for high precision mixing, reliable vestax cf-pcv crossfader with full rotary curve control making it ideal for scratching or mixing and an eq/isolator select switch is located on each program channel to enable djs to select their preference sound adjustment method in regards of the music they play. A new and very intuitive feature is the hi gain trim control circuit designed to bridge the gap between digital media, mp3s and cd source sound levels. Whilst on the topic of professional sound quality this mixer has it in abundance due to the enhanced dual bit methoid, a high performance chip technology of asahikase is applied to the ad/da section of the pmc-580pro. Also the pmc580pro is generated by a high capacity institutional power adaptor, which gains the heavy low groove required for supreme club sound. All the usual inputs are present as well as two 44.1k, 48khz digital inputs which enable digital connection with no sound deterioration and digital music files can be played from computers and tracks can be recorded to computers via usb input/output. The top panel layout is designed by vestax professionals, for the dj to play intuitively without mixing up the effect section and sound control section during club performance. Vestax have produced a truly stunning professional club mixer in the form of the pmc 580.
